Telephone conversation between the President of Turkmenistan and the President of the Russian Federation

Today, a telephone conversation has taken place between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The head of state firstly sincerely congratulated the Russian leader on his birthday and wished him sound health, happiness and prosperity, as well as great success in the top government position for the benefit of all the people of Russia.

– The Russian Federation is a strategic partner of Turkmenistan. Our relations are based on the principles of equality, mutual respect and good neighborliness, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized.

As was highlighted during the conversation, today our countries successfully cooperate in a wide range of areas.

Bilateral trade and economic relations show good dynamics, effective contacts have been established between departments, and inter-parliamentary relations have been stepped up.

Cooperation in the cultural, scientific and educational fields is successfully strengthened, which is an important factor in bringing the peoples of or states closer together.

In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan took the opportunity to express deep gratitude to his Russian colleague for the personal attention and full support provided to the comprehensive development of Turkmen-Russian relations.

Thanking for the warm congratulations, the head of friendly state expressed his best wishes to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty, our Hero Arkadag, who also made a significant personal contribution to the strengthening and expansion of interstate dialogue, traditionally built on the principles of friendship and mutually beneficial partnership.

At the end of the telephone conversation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President Vladimir Putin exchanged wished for sound health and further success in their work to each other, and wellbeing and prosperity to the friendly peoples of the two countries.
