Today, the Mekan capital palace has hosted the regular seventh congress of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov attended the forum timed to the 31^st sacred anniversary of independence of our fatherland.

Before the start of the forum, its participants familiarized themselves with the mobile exhibition displaying the success and achievements of modern Turkmenistan and the rich historical and cultural heritage of our people.

The regular congress of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli is announced open.

With great inspiration, the gathered listened to the address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in which the head of the state sincerely congratulated participants of the forum and the youth of the country with the opening of the congress and wished it a fruitful and successful work.

For consideration of delegates the agenda of the congress, which is unanimously approved, is submitted.

Further, chairman of the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli Ya. Ovezberdiyev made a report, in which the outcome of work of the Organization since the previous congress and activities carried out to implement the state youth policy under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov were summed up.

Further, the floor was given to heads of capital and regional departments of the Youth Organization. As was underlined, all-round care of the younger generation is a priority area of the state policy of Turkmenistan, which bears a clear- cut socially oriented course.

Further, within the framework of the agenda of the forum organizational issues were considered. Participants of the congress elected the new staff of the Central Council of the Youth Organization named after Makhtumkuli and its heads. Ya.Keriyev was elected chairman of the Central Council, D.Durdymuhammedov - its deputy-chairman.

Delegates of the congress welcomed the arrival of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the Mekan palace with great inspiration. The participation of the head of Turkmenistan in the forum became an eloquent confirmation of that great attention which is attached to the youth policy in our country.

Upon his arrival at the Mekan palace, the head of the state attended the thematic mobile exhibition there, which visually demonstrated key areas of large-scale transformations realized in all spheres of life of our fatherland in the new historical epoch.

Addressing the youth of independent neutral fatherland, academic staffs, participants of the forum, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sincerely congratulated all with Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, which is widely marked today and wished employees of the education sector, students and schoolchildren sound health and great successes.

The head of Turkmenistan underlined that in the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, we have set great goals before us and have outlined tasks to ensure wellbeing and socio-economic growth, further improvement of social and living standards of people, strengthening of peace and trust in the planet relying especially on the younger generation of our country in their achievement.

As the head of the state further noted, stages covered, achievements made, and successes attained serve a firm foundation for the bright future. Proceeding form it, a special significance is attached to sustainable develop of our national economy. The country builds comfortable residential houses, accomplishes villages and cities, district centres and carries out a large-scale work to develop large industrial complexes. These great endeavours strengthen the basis of independent and neutral Turkmenistan and facilitate to improve significantly the wellbeing of people and growth of the international authority of our fatherland.

The younger generation takes an active part in use of achievements of sciences. Schoolchildren and students gain great successes at important international competitions. All this visually speaks of the fact that Turkmenistan provides a firm basis to get education and obtain qualifications.

Further, the head of the state underlined that our independent fatherland firmly protects the rights of the youth. Social benefits for young families expand and necessary measures are taken to help and provide them with modern housing. The youth enjoys a full right to choose school, language, fields and forms of education. The necessary work is carried out to solve issues of their employment and choice of profession.

Having stated a significant growth of socio-political activity of the youth, the President of Turkmenistan made an emphasis on the assistance given in development of friendly relations between youth associations of our country and other countries as well as profile international organizations. In this connection, the number of young Turkmen nationals, who get education in prestigious higher educational institutions of the world, grows steadily.

In his speech, the head of Turkmenistan also touched upon the topic of physical training and sports, which ensure harmonious development of society, play an important role in development of human qualities and encourage enthusiasm and confidence in oneself and in one’s power. Therefore, our country carries out an efficient work to attract widely citizens, especially the youth to practice physical training and sports and promote principles of healthy lifestyle.

As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov marked, in accordance with the requirements of time, laws, which include various areas of the youth policy, are regularly improved. With participation of representatives of ministries and sectoral departments, political parties, public organizations as well as the youth, the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan has developed the draft of the new version of the Law “On the state youth policy “ .

Its key goal is to ensure an active participation of the youth in the economic, political and cultural life of our fatherland and creation of favourable legal conditions for education of the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, humanism and diligence. Adoption of the law will significantly strengthen a legal basis of the policy pursued in the country in this area and will facilitate expansion of opportunities created for the younger generation, the head of the state pointed out.

The youth – the future of our beloved fatherland, the head of Turkmenistan underlined. Honour, dignity and authority of human is judged by his work. It is for this reason that the Youth Organization should carry out a fruitful activity to educate the younger generation through work. Every young man should work under the banner of labour to make great achievements.

Speaking of it, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed firm confidence that young Turkmen nationals fulfilling their sacred duty before their parents, people, and country, will grow worthy people and work selflessly for the progress of their fatherland.

Once again, having warmly congratulated participants of the forum and employees of the education sphere with Day of Knowledge and Student Youth as well as the holding of the seventh congress of the Youth Organization named after Makhtumkuli, the head of the state wished all of them sound health and great successes in their work for the benefit of our independent neutral country and its people.

The speech of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was listened with close attention and welcomed with noisy applauds.

Further, the head of the state signed the Law of Turkmenistan “On the state youth policy” which was welcomed by participants of the forum with great inspiration.

Further, the floor was given to delegates of the congress.

Main specialist of the organizational department of the branch office of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli at “Türkmennebit” State Concern Kh.Kishjikov was the first to speak. Having sincerely welcomed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and participants of the forum, the delegate noted that our youth makes a worthy contribution to the development of our independent neutral fatherland and augmentation of its image in the world.

Further, the floor was given to methodologist of the first class in the Lebap regional library A.Shamuhammedova, who pointed out that she was very happy for the opportunity to speak at the seventh congress of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli.

Student of the Turkmen state institute of physical culture and sports A.Goshaniyazov, who spoke next, sincerely welcoming the head of the state and participants of the congress, congratulated all with Day of Knowledge and Student Youth and today’s forum.

Further, the floor was given to draftee of the Economic Administration of military and law enforcement bodies at the State Border Service of Turkmenistan B.Kadyrov. Addressing the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country and delegates of the congress on behalf of defenders of our fatherland, the speaker underlined the significance of the present forum held in the year “Epoch of people with Arkadag” on Day of Knowledge and Student Youth and on the eve of the 31^st anniversary of sacred independence of our fatherland.

Further, the floor was given to newly elected chairman of the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli Ya.Keriyev, who on behalf of the younger generation expressed his sincere acknowledgement to the head of the state for his participation in the present congress and his historical speech.

As was underlined, following the work of Hero Arkadag, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov surely leads our country on the path of the new era relying on wise precepts of our ancestors. Wide opportunities are created for harmonious development and patriotic and education and all-round training of the youth, the future of our fatherland.

It was noted that the signing of the above-mentioned revised Law, prepared under the guidance and instructions of the head of Turkmenistan and initiatives of Hero Arkadag, taking into account proposals of the younger generation augments the pride of our youth. This historical event once again speaks of the fact that care of young citizens is a priority of the state policy.

Addressing the gathered with concluding remarks, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov once again congratulated all with the wonderful holiday, Day of Knowledge and Student Youth as well as the holding of the seventh congress of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli.

Conveying his best wishes to the younger generation of Turkmenistan, the head of the state recited famous verses by Hero Arkadag :” Forward, Forward, Only Forward My Beloved Turkmenistan!”, which were immediately picked up unanimously by participants of the forum.

Upon completion of the congress, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov having warmly bid farewell to all, left the place.
